What’s Your Favorite E-reader?

I usually read ebooks on my mobile phone and I’ve always been partial to using the Google Play Books app. So you can just imagine how kilig I am that Bottoms Up, Boracay (Season 1 Habagat) is now listed and can be previewed on Google Books, and is also available for purchase at the Google Play Store! 🤸‍♀️

If you’re new to reading ebooks or wondering which e-reader app to use best with your downloaded epub file, let me recommend my 3 favorite e-reading apps. They are all FREE, by the way, and can be easily downloaded on your mobile device in seconds.

For disclosure, I’m an Android user, but the first 2 are also available on iPhone/iPad.

⭐Google Play Books
You never forget you first. It may be my favorite because it instantly downloaded for me the first epub file I was given (not bought from the Google store) back when I didn’t know what the heck an epub file was.

It’s fuss-free and so easy to use. And I like the way the pages flip, like in an actual book, when I swipe (they call it the 3D page turning effect). Moon+ Reader does this too, but I saw it first on Google Play Books.

Plus lately, I’ve been using their “Read Aloud” (text to speech) feature a lot. It’s perfect for multitasking and so useful in editing.

⭐ Kindle for Android/iOS.
I don’t own a Kindle, but I use this app on my phone. Unlike before, Kindle is epub compatible now, yey! Though it’s made for Amazon, it can also read epub books not bought from there. You just have to go through a few steps to transfer the epub file to your Kindle library, but it’s easy once you get used to it.

⭐Moon+ Reader
Simply because I ❤️ anything with a ‘Moon’ in it. Lol. But also because all my links work perfectly here. For some reason, my email links don’t work on Google Play.

Fun Fact: I personally tested Bottoms Up, Boracay (Season 1 Habagat) on these three apps before releasing the ebook to the world. It reads beautifully in any of them!
